The Loar Tribes - Samuel Brady Dawson
Composed By Samuel Brady Dawson, Westernport, Maryland. From Emma Loar Gaddis' Book "The Loar Genealogy with Cognate Branches 1774 - 1947", published 1949.
While passing along the walks of life.
If your heart is full of sighs,
Perhaps 'twill help to set you right
To watch the Loars --- pass by.
All hearts are stirred by this grand sight
It will take away your sighs
To see the good that they have done
The Loars -- as they pass by
At home or church, they always tried
What service they could spy,
And gladly lent a helping hand
To the needy passing by.
We too, are passing swiftly on,
Our record is made on high
So let us lift some one up
As we Loars -- are passing by.
So when at last we meet over there
In our home beyond the sky
We'll hear the Heavenly Anthem ring
As the Loars -- go passing by.
